August Membership Meeting

Adobe Flash Catalyst, Part 2

Speaker: Rob Huddleston

Wednesday, August 5, 2009 - 6:30 pm
Location: Round Table Pizza
Corner of Sunset & Stanford Ranch Rd., Rocklin

Due to popular demand, the August meeting will be a continuation of June's meeting - Flash Catalyst. The presentation will begin with a quick review of the key features of Catalyst that were covered in June, and then continue on, showing how assets like scrollbars can be easily created in Illustrator, how assets can be tied to data, and how Flash Builder 4 can be used to finish the project.

Everyone is encouraged to go to Adobe Labs and download both Catalyst and Flash Builder before the meeting so that you can follow along. You can also view the recording of the June meeting online if you'd like.

Bring your laptop! Roundtable has free open wireless, so feel free to bring your laptop to the meeting.

Barring technical difficulties, the meeting will be broadcast online and recorded. On the night of the meeting, you can log into the meeting room to participate.

Post-Meeting Social

We're going to start a new tradition by having an informal get-together after each meeting. It's merely a chance for folks to hang out and chat about, well, anything. The user group is about more than just learning new stuff - it's about community, and this, I think, will be a great way for that community to build and grow. Details on the location for the social will be forthcoming, but if you have time after the meeting, please plan to join us.
